Dr. Hannah Azotea

Doctor of Physical Therapy

Provider profile

Dr. Hannah Azotea is a doctor of physical therapy with an outpatient orthopedic and vestibular focus. She combines an extensive athletic background with a drive for excellence in patient care, providing compassionate and individualized treatment for every patient.

Provider training and background were checked against the clinic's published biography. Treatment recommendations require an individual examination.

Physical therapy training shaped by health and business studies

Dr. Azotea graduated from Tufts University School of Medicine with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. She graduated magna cum laude in December 2016 with a Bachelor of Science, double-majoring in Health and Wellness and Business Management.

In graduate school she focused on outpatient orthopedic and vestibular electives and continues that focus with patients in the clinic. Her clinical rotations spanned several settings, including outpatient and inpatient work at Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital. She achieved her certification in dry needling in 2022 and finds it a highly effective tool in the treatment of soft-tissue injury. She is a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association.

Personal philosophy

Dr. Azotea believes that all patients deserve an individualized treatment plan. You will commonly find her in the office reading the latest research so she can implement emerging findings in the care plans she designs.

Her treatment techniques and assessment strategies for orthopedics and sports injuries are based on the most current and effective research, giving patients the best chance to overcome the injuries or physical restrictions keeping them from their health and wellness goals. She works with patients of all ages and ability levels and keeps therapy interesting and relevant to each patient's goals.

An athletic background translated into patient goals

Dr. Azotea played every sport available growing up and now enjoys snowboarding, hiking, swimming, rock climbing, and running. She has a love for the great outdoors and is an avid runner.

She believes in minimizing physical restrictions for each of her patients, allowing them to reach full mobility and achieve vigorous good health. That progression applies equally to non-sport goals: a return to work, stairs, caregiving, or a long walk deserves clear criteria and enough practice to feel dependable outside the clinic.
