Core care
Chiropractic Care
Assessment-led joint, soft-tissue, and movement care for active bodies.
In plain language
What does chiropractic care actually involve?
Chiropractic care starts with a musculoskeletal assessment, not an automatic adjustment. The history, movement examination, neurologic screen, and demands of work or sport help the provider decide whether the problem is suited to conservative care, needs imaging, or should be evaluated by another medical professional first.
When hands-on treatment fits the findings, care may include joint manipulation or mobilization, soft-tissue treatment, taping, and exercise. The purpose is to create a useful change in pain or motion, then reinforce it with enough strength and tolerance for the activity that matters to you. A passive treatment is a tool within the plan, not the entire plan.

Clinical fit
How do we decide if chiropractic care fits your injury?
The decision depends on more than where it hurts. A chiropractic examination compares symptom behavior with joint motion, muscle and tendon loading, strength, coordination, sensation, and reflexes when those tests are relevant. It also checks for warning signs such as major trauma, progressive weakness, fever, unexplained weight loss, or loss of bladder or bowel control.
People often seek this care for mechanical back or neck pain, restricted movement, recurrent strains, and sports injuries. Those labels do not guarantee that manipulation is appropriate. The provider should explain which finding the proposed treatment is meant to change, what response would count as progress, and when the plan will be reconsidered.
Making the choice
What shapes the care you receive here?
The sports-medicine foundation is not a special adjustment. It is the way each visit is organized around diagnosis, tissue capacity, and your goal. A runner with back pain, a warehouse worker with leg symptoms, and a golfer with restricted rotation may share a body region but need different tests and different care.
That same attention benefits patients who come in for routine maintenance care. Whether you are recovering from a specific injury or keeping a well-tuned body moving freely, visit frequency is matched to what your body and your activities actually need, and the plan is revisited as self-management, strength, and activity tolerance improve.
The visit
What happens during a chiropractic visit?
The first visit establishes a working diagnosis and a measurable starting point. Follow-up visits should connect each treatment choice to that starting point.
Listen and screen
Your provider reviews onset, aggravating movements, prior injuries, health history, medication, and any symptoms that change the safety of conservative care.
Test the pattern
Movement, strength, joint, tendon, and neurologic tests are selected to separate local pain from referred pain or nerve involvement.
Treat a specific finding
Hands-on care is applied only where the examination supports it. The provider then retests the movement or task that was limited.
Build carryover
Exercise, activity changes, and a graded return to work or sport help the short-term change hold under real load.

Questions about chiropractic
Will I be adjusted at the first visit?
Only if the examination supports it, you understand the option, and there is no reason to avoid it. The first priority is deciding what the problem appears to be and whether chiropractic care is appropriate.
Do you only treat athletes?
No. The approach is useful for anyone whose goal can be described as a physical task, from getting through a workday to returning to competition.
Is exercise part of chiropractic care?
It often is at this clinic. Exercise can help preserve motion, restore capacity, and reduce dependence on repeated passive treatment.
This page is educational and cannot determine whether chiropractic is safe or appropriate for you. A provider reviews your history and examination findings first, and will tell you what to expect before any treatment begins.
