Personal Philosophy
Bodies are not designed to be in pain, pain is your body’s signal that something is wrong. The best way to help our bodies reach their optimum performance and functioning is to not only address the cause of the pain, but to figure out the underlying issues that are causing it to occur and to correct these as well. Very commonly, muscle imbalances and weakness create the underlying dysfunction that ultimately leads to pain. Dr. Brown utilizes rehabilitative strengthening and corrective exercises to correct structural changes that may be causing pain. She uses passive modalities, such as therapeutic ultrasound, cold laser therapy, electrical stimulation, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization techniques such as Graston Technique, exercises, stretches, heat, and ice to assist her in helping the patient achieve relief of their symptoms. Dr. Brown uses these therapies in conjunction with chiropractic adjustments to help the patient return to preinjury status and get back to the activities that they love stronger than ever.
